Groove's Faves: "The Sunken Land!" by Leiber, O'Neil, Simonson, and Milgrom

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! For the fabulous fifth and final ish of DC's outstanding Sword of Sorcery mag (August 1973), regular artist Howard Chaykin was replaced by the fill-in team of Walt Simonson and Al Milgrom! This fourteen-pager was (from what I can gather) Walt's longest job yet, and also his first lead feature. How cool is that? Written by Denny O'Neil and adapted from Fritz Leiber's novels, let's join Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser as theyvisit..."The Sunken Land!"

  1. Thanks for sharing this series over the past few months. I was only able to collect the last two issues back in the day.
